Internet Connectivity that Works!

Keeping Businesses communicating

Broadband stability and resiliency

Internet connectivity is essential to businesses to communicate. Resiliency is also important, should an ISP or UK infrastructure provider such as BT have an outage. Target IT have solutions from multiple ISPs to provide the fastest speeds available in your area, as well as failover solutions.

Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC)

Widely available, FTTC uses a copper data line (SoGEA) to provide speeds up to 80Mb/s download and 20Mb/s upload (speed depending upon location to street cabinet and Telephone Exchange). All our FTTC offerings come with unlimited usage and a single Static IP address.

Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP)

FTTP (also known as ‘Full Fibre’) is a Fibre-optic connection directly to your premises*. This gives faster speeds than FTTC, up to 1GB download and 220Mb/s upload. There are different speed packages available at prices to suit your budget. FTTP is not available in all areas but is rolling out across the UK and will replace FTTC. As with FTTC our packages are unlimited and have a Static IP.

*[Note – some additional network cabling may be necessary to route from the FTTP Modem to your Router].

G.Fast can give up to 300Mb/s download and 50Mb/s upstream. It requires you to be within 500 Metres of your Street Cabinet to receive it.

4G / 5G Mobile Broadband

For resiliency when a Street Cabinet or Telephone Exchange has a problem, 4G Broadband SIM packages are available, which can fit directly into the rear of a Draytek Router that has a SIM Card port. If the primary Broadband fails then the 4G connection activates and gives Internet connection until the primary connection is restored. 5G offerings are coming soon, together with the Router / Firewalls to take these connections.

Leased Line

Leased Line is a dedicated Fibre optic connection, with packages between 10Mb/s and 1GB/s bandwidth. These are used by businesses who need a stable connection that has a proper SLA if the connection has a problem. Leased Line is more expensive because of this and is usually on a 3-year term.

ADSL was the original ‘fast Broadband’ in the UK, and is still in use in areas that have not been upgraded to FTTC / FTTP. ADSL gives up to 24Mb/s download and an upload of up to 2Mb/s. ADSL is only being used where other Services are unavailable.
